Mr. Bednar says the goal of increases are to "eliminate subsidy" and enact a "sustainable pricing model." 50K rounds of golf were played last year, 85% of which were by non-city residents.

The current subsidy is $1Million, with a goal of $400,000 for FY2024.

Ward 16 Councilperson @kazy_brian asked why 2 forms of ID would be needed for residents to receive a discount. At his request, the language of the ordinance was unanimously amended so that only a valid state-ID would be needed.
