A few technical difficulties tonight at the IndyGo board meeting, but I recorded it to capture all of the information to share with you now! Thank you for your understanding... #mirrorindy
The meeting starting at 4:04 p.m., and roll call was taken with members Quick, Fagen, Wilson, and Hahn were present, so a quorum was met. #mirrorindy
President and CEO of IndyGo, Jennifer Pierce, presented commendations and awards. First, Myron Cornett was recognized for his 21 years of safe driving. Nicole Bird was named the Employee of the Month in the Operations Division. #mirrorindy
Mechanic of the Month was awarded to Don Michael Bell. A special acknowledgement was made to honor the first graduate of the Maintenance Apprenticeship Program, or MAP; a partnership program with Ivy Tech. #mirrorindy
A work status report was presented by the Governance and Audit Committee which included completed projects, and a list of those to be completed in 2026. The Ethics Hotline summary report showed that no ethics violations were reported in the fourth quarter of 2024. #mirrorindy
The Board of Finance met and reviewed one main item; the consideration and approval of the Board of Finance Recommendations. They also reviewed the investment policy and announced changes to the roles and responsibilities and a clarification of whom reports to whom. #mirrorindy
It was agreed that the Board of Finance shall annually review their policies, and replace or affirm any changes every four years. #mirrorindy
The 2024 summary of investments was also reviewed by the board, and revealed that IndyGo earned just under 12 million dollars in interest. Fifth Third, JP Morgan Chase, BNY Mellon, Regions, Old National, Bank of Indianapolis, and PNC were the banks used for deposits. #mirrorindy
IndyGo's 5-year Capital Plan was presented, which serves as a roadmap (pun intended) for all of the past, present and future large capital expenditures. Chief Counsel Bob Frye presented changes and recommendations to the Board's by-laws. #mirrorindy
Bob Frye also presented 8905-8915 Madison Ave. properties as consideration for a full-service charging station. However, it was determined that no charging station would be built at that property, and they should be sold. The only cost would be for appraisals. #mirrorindy
After thanking everyone for attending and for making sure that Indy residents are safe during this inclement weather, the meeting adjourned at 4:35 p.m. #mirrorindy
