Directors announced they would publish the draft Great Lakes Water Authority FY 2025-29 Capital Improvement Plan on Dec. 13, and voted to send it to the full board for approval in January.

This draft #2 will be published tomorrow. Overall positive feedback was received on draft #1, no major comments received during public comment periods.

The numbers are dynamic and continue to move as this moves forward. Water 5-year total is $1,071,788 and Wastewater 5-year total is $982,525. The overall 10-year total is $4 billion.

Moving to the Finance Chapter of the Capital Improvement Plan presented by Nickie Bateson. "Balancing the budget between debt commitments and new commitments is always a challenge."

In funding sources, they are continuing to pursue grants to help ease the burdens. GLWA is fortunate to have strong vendor relations.

They look at the project status analysis when evaluating the project execution. 90% of costs in the spend category analysis is on construction.

The finance section of the CIP has been approved and will be published along with the full CIP tomorrow, December 13th.
