The Detroit Continuum of Care (CoC) is a year-round planning body of representative stakeholders working toward ending homelessness. The coverage area is Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highland Park.
The CoC’s work includes gathering and analyzing information to determine the local needs of people experiencing homelessness, implementing strategic responses, and measuring results.
The Detroit CoC coordinates the implementation of a housing and service system to meet the needs of all persons experiencing homelessness throughout its geography.
The continuum has a board of elected and appointed leaders with the authority to make decisions on behalf of the Detroit CoC. Committees are the action planning components of the continuum.
