The board:

• Approved the state legislative priority and platform for 2026. The county narrowed its focus to one overarching priority in reaction to federal cuts to health and human services: “Protect the county’s ability to continue providing critical services to residents.”
• Approved the creation of a new Community Environmental Advisory Board and Youth Environmental Advisory Board
• Approved the Three Rivers Park District budget for 2026. The approved budget of $78 million is $2 million higher than 2025. A tax levy increase of 4.8% and an increase in user fees will pay for the increase.
