All Commissioners are present, a quorum is stablished and Ms. White introduced all of the guests on the line.

Chair Bell provided the rules regarding public comment and concerns. Commissioner Burch provided congratulations to Dept. Chief who has been named the Chief of Police of Cleveland. /5

Resolution honoring First Asst. Chief Lashinda Stair on her retirement following 25 years of service. /6

DC Bliss provides stats on crime. As a whole Priority 1 is down 7% with an average response time of 12min and 42 second.
Priority 2 average response time is 21min and 42sec. /7

DPD Covid Update: 23 currently in quarantine or isolation with 6 stats and 17 sworn officers.
14 members are currently positive
1,697 members have been returned to full duty. /8

DC Bliss gave updates on drifitng cirme and stats from the weekend. This was Chief Whites first week on the job and he provided an overview of his 4 point plan. /9

Chief White addresses concerns regarding group arrests and drag racing. /11

Commissioner Bernard asked Chief to follow up with the MI State Police regarding issues from Belle Isle last weekend. Chief White said that he will look into the concerns. /12

Lt. Sherrell Stanley provided an update on the Committee on Race and Equality. They are updating policy to be more inclusive. /14

CORE will recognize both members, officials, retirees and citizens. In the interest of time the information will be placed on the department ewebsite. /15

There is attention to mental health concerns. This has been a theme throughtout all of the presentations. Also attention to social justice concerns. /16

A detailed document has been prepared fro how to interact with the police. It is just a draft however and will be a work in progress./17

Public Comment- PC1- LT. Young applauds citizens and DPD. Encourages all to watch their words not make blanket or accusatory statements. /18

PC2- Congratulations to Stair and kudos ot all officers doing their jobs. /19

PC3- Asks Chairman Bell to give respect to other commissioners. Praying for Chief White./20

PC4- Is concerned about Detroit rankings and funding for the police dept. /21

PC5- Concerns about Charter and ideas for policing. /22
